Many of you have been wondering about the renovation of St. Francis Hall over the past few months. I’m happy to report to all of you that work is moving along. We expect the renovations to be complete in October.
As with most things in our lives, COVID-19 has had an impact on the renovation. In March and part of April, construction stopped due to the stay at home order. As some workers were allowed to return to work renovations continued. We are experiencing some delays in the availability of materials but we’re on track now. The construction crew has been busy with the demolition of the stage area (pictured) and the men’s restroom. They’ve been working on the electrical systems – upgrading and rerouting as needed and so many other little things. The photo below of the former stage area will soon be a wall with a door. The enclosed area will be used for the storage of tables and chairs. We’ll keep you updated as work continues including pictures of some of the work. We don’t want to show too much – we want to save some things for the blessing and dedication.
