Thank you to the Guamanian Society of Mission San Luis Rey Parish for sharing their celebration.

The celebration of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ in Guam is celebrated just like any other celebration throughout our faith.

After the celebration of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, a procession from the church with the celebrant carrying the monstrance proceed throughout the village with designated little chaplet (Lanchos) with altars.

These pictures from 2015 and 2019 show the community walking with Jesus in procession, singing and praying.

The celebrant blesses the Chamorros from the village with the monstrance.
A reception is held afterward where all are welcomed with food and drinks are provided by GSMLR and from the Guamanian community.

All Lanchos that represent their village in Guam are adorned with their patron saint, flowers, and candles. The altar in the Lanchos is representative of our faith.
