Did You Know?

Serra Center Welcomes You

Why should you register?

By registering in a parish, you show your desire to be a part of our Catholic faith community. Registering is important. Census numbers (numbers of registered parishioners) help the number and kind of Masses and programs, the number of priests, obligations to the Diocese, etc. Registration not only shows you belong but may be necessary to schedule the reception of certain sacraments or participate in certain programs.

What does committing to a parish mean?

Committing to a parish is much like other commitments to family, friends, schools or community groups. The parish makes a commitment to be there for the parish family: to provide Masses, Sacraments, educational programs and ministry. When you join a parish, you make a commitment to be an active member, to contribute your time, talent, treasure and prayer to support the mission and work of the Church.

How do I know I am registered?

One way to know is if you receive regular communications from us, such as offertory envelopes, or emails. If you do not receive at least one of these, then you may want to check with the parish office staff to see if our information for you is updated and correct.

What happens after you register?

A welcoming letter followed by a starter set of envelopes will be mailed to your home within two to four weeks. You can also sign up for electronic giving by clicking on a link here, or by filling out an EFT form found at the Welcome Table or Parish Office.

If you have any questions about our registration process, please call our receptionist, Maricela at 760-547-0735.
