Today (4/16) is Holy Saturday, a day of sadness and joy intermingled as we remember Our Lord Jesus Christ entombed, his redemptive sacrifice, and the promise and hope of the Resurrection.
Tonight in the Serra Center at 8 pm, we kindle a new fire and light the Paschal Candle, sharing the light of Christ and remembering his triumph over death at Easter. Sorrow turns to joy as we profess our faith along with our newly initiated brothers and sisters, welcoming them to the fullness and joy of our Catholic Faith. Together we will sing Alleluia with the blessing of our Paschal candle. “Christ yesterday and today, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and Omega. All time belongs to Him and all glory, forever and ever. Amen.”
