LIVE STREAM BASICS

Live-stream

Pope Pius XII designated  Saint Clare of Assisi as the patron saint of television in 1958 on the basis that when she was too ill to attend  Holy Mass, she had reportedly been able to see and hear it on the wall of her room. Inspired by St. Clare, Mission San Luis Rey Parish is reaching out to our sick and homebound parishioners.  The Mass, which can be seen and heard in its entirety, can be viewed with an Internet connection on most flash-enabled desktop computers, laptops, cell-phones, and other smart devices.

Those planning to view the Mass live from our website each Sunday are encouraged to join us at 9:55 am for our English Language Mass and 11:55 am for our Spanish language mass. Please join us a few minutes prior to the start of the Mass to ensure that you can successfully access the broadcast before Mass begins.

Entering the Livestream: Go to www.sanluisreyparish.org on your device Click on the button that says LIVE STREAM.

You will reach a page with a large black box. If the live stream is inactive, the top of the box will read “SORRY, THIS MEDIA IS OFFLINE”. If active, a picture will appear inside the box.

TroubleshootingNo sound? Please be sure to click on the video box for the audio control to be sure your sound is not muted. Also, check to be sure your phone, mobile device, tablet or desktop have the sound on. Buffering issues? Click on the video box to refresh.

If you have any questions or comments, please email our IT / Communications Director, Karen Willson, at itc@sanluisreyparish.org

Reminder: Viewing a live-streamed Mass does NOT fulfill the Sunday obligation UNLESS one is physically unable to attend.
