Multiple Dioceses and Parishes have reported an email and text phishing scam. You may receive an email or text from one of the priests asking for money, or gift cards from iTunes or Google Play. The parish will never ask you to send gift cards or money by email or phone.

These types of messages may look legitimate and prey on the goodness of people’s hearts, but please protect yourself. They may be fake accounts or emails that have been compromised.
