Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return. (Luke 6:38)
Dear Friends, Peace and all Good!
Each year, we have an opportunity to reflect on our level of participation in our parish community by giving of our time, our talents and financial support. We call this “Stewardship” of God’s gifts to us. From the time of our Baptism, we place all of our resources—our very selves—at God’s service in and through the Church. If our parish is to fulfill its unique mission, each of us needs to be deeply committed stewards, willing to share our gifts, money and material resources in the same spirit of generosity as the Lord Jesus Christ who gave himself entirely for us.
Today, you are invited to experience how great it feels to know you are supporting your community of faith on a constant and ongoing basis. Your joyful and generous response to the Gospel message of Jesus Christ is appreciated by the many men, women, children, and families we serve.
Thank you for supporting Mission San Luis Rey Parish.
Fr. Vince Mesi, OFM Pastor
“My husband and I work very hard to support our family. We put a lot of thought into where that money goes. When we pay for programs in our parish or give a weekly financial gift, I feel blessed that God has provided more than enough for us and grateful that I am part of a parish that is growing and always helping its parishioners to grow in faith through the many ministries that it provides. When you are part of a family, you help one another.” — Mallory Moser
