St. Ambrose once said: “The one who sings prays twice!” I would like to encourage us all with the words of St. Paul in his Letter to the Colossians: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” (Col. 3:16)
Please sing in the Liturgy! In particular, I am encouraging those who sing well to please consider joining the Parish Choir which sings on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Just imagine the joyful sound we can make with more energetic voices joined in one chorus! For more information about this very rewarding ministry, please contact Mr. Kerry Quaid, our Music Director, right away! Love, Fr. Vince Mesi, OFM
Join a Choir! It’s good for you! If you love to sing, and love to praise God, come and join a parish choir! We are especially seeking more singers for the 10:00 mass, but all of our choirs welcome new members RIGHT NOW to prepare for Lent and Holy Week. From Palm Sunday to Easter, we sing a great amount and variety of beautiful and inspiring music (even more so that usual!). If you can carry a tune, attend rehearsals, and be part of a team, then please share your talents with God, and with God’s people. For the 10:00 mass, rehearsals are Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Every choir has its own regular practice time. Contact Kerey to sign up, or for more details about any parish choir: firstname.lastname@example.org or 760-547-0709.
