Our Pastoral Council
Listening. Discerning. Serving.
In the spirit of St. Francis, the Pastoral Council of Mission San Luis Rey Parish accompanies the pastor by offering prayerful reflection, communal wisdom, and collaborative support to help guide the pastoral life of our parish.
Rooted in the Gospel and our parish mission, the council helps identify pastoral priorities, support parish ministries, and promote active engagement in parish life through discernment, listening, and service.
Mission Statement
“In the Spirit of St. Francis, and as Catholics in a community of many cultures, we live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Strengthened by Word and Sacrament, we welcome all into God’s inclusive love. We serve the poor, care for creation, and build a just and compassionate world.”St. Francis lived his life believing that God is love. We believe that showing and sharing our love with others is the best way to love God.
We hope that you feel at home and find your personal “mission” at the Mission in our Catholic Community. We hope you find us a place of peace and friendship, and our people gracious and kind.
