Fr. Sam devoted his life to the poor, the hungry, and the forgotten.
The Closest Place to Fr. Sam’s heart: Loretto House
Dear friends:
On behalf of a Loretto House volunteer and his wife, I would like to share with you their words and invitation:
“Our parish recently suffered the loss of a beloved Franciscan, Father Sam, who was taken from us far too soon. Father Sam devoted his life to the poor, the hungry, and the forgotten. He poured out his
heart in service, reminding us daily of Christ’s call to see His face in those most in need.
One of the places closest to Father Sam’s heart was Loretto House, where food and care are shared with our brothers and sisters who are struggling. His legacy calls us to continue this mission.
Right now, Loretto House needs helping hands -people willing to lift, sort, organize, and serve. By volunteering your time, you not only honor Father Sam’s memory but also continue the work he loved so dearly.
If you feel called, please prayerfully consider joining us in this effort. Together, we can keep Fr. Sam’s spirit alive by serving others.”
For more information or to be part of our Loretto House team, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Parish Social Outreach and Advocacy coordinator, Grisel Barrios, (760) 547-0708, grisel@sanluisreyparish.org
May the Lord always grant you his peace!
