Welcome to Altar Server Ministry!
The Altar Server Ministry at Mission San Luis Rey Parish invites young members of our community to assist in the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy, especially during the Holy Mass. Altar servers lead processions, assist with sacred books and vessels, and support the clergy in creating a reverent worship experience. This ministry is a beautiful way to grow in faith, serve the Church, and be part of our Franciscan family of Catholic stewards. Training is provided monthly, and servers are needed every weekend and on special Holy Days.
Through ongoing training and formation, Altar Servers grow in their understanding of the sacred liturgy and their role within it. Inspired by the spirit of St. Francis, they are called to serve with humility, joy, and dedication, offering their time and talents as a gift to God and the community.
