Habemus Papam

We love you already, your Holiness, Pope Leo XIV!

Pope Leo XIV

We love you already, Your Holiness Leo XIV!! In his first speech as Pope, he asked the faithful to follow Christ, “evil will not prevail.” He also launched a “call for peace” to “all peoples”. Leo XIV, from the balcony of St. Peter’s Square, asked us for help in “building bridges of peace” to also seek justice, and he invited us to do so without fear. “God loves us all unconditionally,” he emphasized. “Thank you to Pope Francis!” the new pontiff Leo XIV told us in his first address.

May God watch over, enlighten, and keep you, dear Pope Leo XIV.

Enjoy these excerpts of the first Mass of Pope Leo XIV at the Sistine Chapel of the Vatican on May 9, 2025.

White ribbons strung over the door of the Parish Church in honor of Pope Leo XIV.

When Pope Francis passed away, the church mourned him, and we displayed a black bow at the church entrance. Now that a new Pope has been elected, we adorn our door with a white bow, signifying the new beginning and the joy of a new pontiff.
