This Sunday, September 20th, the Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a Blood Drive from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The blood mobile will be outside in the parking lot by the Parish Chapel. Walk-ins are welcome!
Next weekend, the Welcome Table will have more copies of Sine Propio, a wonderful resource book in this Jubilee Year of St. Francis. Stop by the Welcome Table to get a copy.
On Saturday, October 10th, our Diocese of San Diego will welcome the tilma relic bearing the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe at a special event to inaugurate the 5-year preparation to celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe to San Juan Diego. The Mass and procession with our bishops will be at Cathedral High School. To help parishioners participate, we are coordinating a bus. Please call the parish office at 760-757-3250 to reserve your spot.
This weekend we would like to welcome our brothers and sisters from the Holy Land, representing Catholic families from Bethlehem and Jerusalem, where Christians now make up less than 1% of the population.
The ongoing war has devastated their livelihoods as tourism and pilgrimage to the Holy Land have dramatically declined.
Their handmade olive-wood crafts provide a vital source of income for these families. Please stop by their tables outside the Parish Church to see their beautiful rosaries, crosses, Nativity scenes, and statues. Every purchase directly supports these families and helps put food on their tables.
If you have children in grades 1 to 4 who are interested in participating in our Children’s Liturgy of the Word at Sunday Masses, please sign up with Stacy outside at the Welcome Table after the 10 a.m. Mass.
