In the Spirit of St. Francis, and as Catholics in a community of many cultures, we live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Strengthened by Word and Sacrament, we welcome all into God’s inclusive love.
As Jesus enters the city of Jerusalem, the crowd hails him as the royal Son of David, not just a prophet, but the King promised to come to the rescue of the Israelites. But Jesus rode in with humility, on a donkey, not a warhorse. His role is that of the “suffering servant” described by the prophet Isaiah, who refuses to take vengeance on those who harm him. Join us this week as we walk with Jesus into the mystery of his suffering, death, and resurrection. Let us draw together in deeper union with him and with one another.
