This week’s latest news from our Intercultural Catholic Community for October 18, 2026.
Don't Miss This Week
An Evening with the Friars — Don’t Miss It! When was the last time you sat down, shared a meal, laughed, and enjoyed an evening with the friars? Our friars are there for us through life’s most meaningful moments. They celebrate with us, comfort us, pray with us, and help guide us on our faith journey. Now, here’s a wonderful opportunity to spend time with them in a relaxed, joyful setting!
Evening with the Friars isn’t just another fundraiser. It’s a celebration of friendship, faith, and the Franciscan spirit that makes Mission San Luis Rey Parish so special.
Enjoy a delicious dinner, music, fellowship, and the opportunity to get to know our friars beyond the pulpit. Share a laugh, hear their stories, reconnect with friends, and make some wonderful memories. We’ll also celebrate three distinguished Franciscan friars: Fr. Ignatius DeGroot, OFM, Fr. Vince Mesi, OFM, and Fr. Joe Chinnici, OFM.
Bring your spouse, invite your friends, or gather a table of fellow parishioners. Don’t just hear about what a wonderful evening it was afterward. Be there to experience it! And remember, your participation helps support our parish community!
