Welcome to Creation Care Ministry!
The Creation Care Ministry at Mission San Luis Rey Parish is inspired by the spirit of St. Francis and Pope Francis’ call in Laudato Si’ to respond to “the cry of the Earth and the cry of the Poor.” This ministry educates and motivates the parish community to live in harmony with God’s creation, promoting actions that protect our common home and build a sustainable future. Through learning, advocacy, and community engagement, we strive to live as faithful stewards of the Earth.
Through prayerful reflection, formation, and action, members of the Creation Care Ministry embody the Franciscan spirit of reverence for all of God’s creation. Together, they build a community of hope, stewardship, and advocacy, walking gently on the Earth and witnessing to the Gospel through care for our most vulnerable brothers and sisters and the natural world.
The Ministry meet on the Third Thursday of every month.
