Welcome to Mental Health Ministry!

The Mental Health Ministry at Mission San Luis Rey Parish offers hope, support, and spiritual companionship to individuals and families experiencing mental health challenges. Through resource referrals, pastoral accompaniment, and parish-wide educational events, this ministry works to break the stigma surrounding mental illness and to witness God’s inclusive love and compassion. Volunteers bring lived experience, understanding, and a commitment to fostering healing and community.

In the spirit of St. Francis, members of the Mental Health Ministry respond with tenderness, solidarity, and action to the needs of those suffering from mental illness. Through prayer, accompaniment, and education, they embody God’s healing presence and help build a parish community where no one walks alone.
