Welcome to Sick and Homebound Ministry!
The Sick and Homebound Ministry at Mission San Luis Rey Parish brings the healing and comforting presence of Christ to those who are unable to attend Mass due to illness, age, or disability. Through prayer, personal presence, and the sharing of the Eucharist, ministers unite the sick and homebound with the larger Church community, continuing Christ’s ministry of compassion and love. Their service embodies the Gospel call to care for the most vulnerable among us.
In the spirit of St. Francis, who saw Christ in every person, ministers to the sick and homebound extend the Church’s tender care to those most in need. Through their humble presence and prayerful service, they offer not only the gift of the Eucharist but also the gift of God’s attentive and healing love.
