Founded on the Franciscan virtues of service and compassion, the Social Outreach and Advocacy Ministry at Mission San Luis Rey Parish addresses the charitable needs of our parish community and beyond. At the heart of our mission is a passion for social justice and a commitment to sharing the Gospel of love through direct service, partnerships, advocacy, and support for the marginalized. We are called to serve Christ in our brothers and sisters with dignity, respect, and solidarity.
Embracing the Franciscan spirit of love for the poor and care for all creation, members of the Social Outreach and Advocacy Ministry are agents of hope, justice, and healing. Through humble service and active advocacy, they work to make visible the face of Christ among the most vulnerable and contribute to building a world rooted in compassion and equity.
