Sine Proprio: The Franciscan Art of Living Freely
The Admonitions of St. Francis of Assisi are among his most important spiritual writings. They reveal how Francis believed Christians should treat one another and grow closer to God.
What Are the Admonitions About?
The central message is that following Jesus requires more than religious practices. It requires a transformation of the heart.
One of the Most Beautiful Admonitions 27: How Virtue Drives Away Vice —
St. Francis teaches that cultivating goodness in our hearts helps us overcome what separates us from God and one another.
Why Are the Admonitions Important Today?
These teachings express the spirituality St. Francis wanted his brothers—and ultimately all Christians—to embrace.
This book is available once again at the Welcome Table for a suggested donation of $5.00. Although the book is in English, here is a website with a Spanish Translation of the Admonitions.
