This Sunday, January 22nd, Catholic Churches around the world will celebrate “Sunday of the Word of God”, a special day newly instituted by Pope Francis that inspires us to give proper attention to God’s Word in the Holy Bible, in our daily habits and in our relationship to God. May this new celebration inspire us all to make new habits of reading and living with the Word of God, even if it is a matter of two minutes a day, or once each week, reading the Sunday readings ahead of time.
Parish Synod Survey Results: One of the most interesting outcomes was that overwhelmingly the participants found these dialogues spiritually and pastorally very nourishing. The positivity of the experience was remarkable because the notes taken in these small groups reveal that participants shared significantly different viewpoints on the major issues they were discussing. This prayerfulness and respect for the dialogue constituted a glimpse of what a synodal culture might be.

Epiphany and Beyond / Epifanía y más allá, Keeping the Season starting Sunday, January 8, 2023
Last year, Fr. Sam introduced the Polish tradition of “Chalking the Door” at Epiphany. This blessing offers a way to remember the visit of the Magi and dedicate your home to the Lord.
El año pasado, el Padre Sam introdujo la tradición polaca de “marcar con tiza la puerta” en la Epifanía. Esta bendición ofrece una forma de recordar la visita de los Reyes Magos y dedicar su hogar al Señor.
It is up to us to continue to carry the blessings we have received into the world, just as the shepherds “made known the message that had been told them.” Not only can you let others know of the good news that has been passed on to you, but you can bless others.
Además de anunciar las buenas nuevas, usted puede bendecir a los demás.
