According to this link from the site for the Diocese of San Diego, the obligation for this Holy Day has been "dispensed", meaning that while it is a Holy Day, we have no obligation to attend Mass on that day this year: sdcatholic.org/wp-content/uploads/liturgy-and-spirituality/documents/2024-Liturgical-Observance.pdf. I wrote this comment to clarify, because I think that the use of "Holy Day of Obligation" in this post might be misunderstood by some.

Please pray for the Inquirers (soon to be Catechumen and Candidates) and the Confirmation class. On 1 December, the Rite of Acceptance will be celebrated, but sadly it seems the candidates (those completing Sacraments of Initiation or making professions of faith to come into full communion with the One Holy and Apostolic Church) are not being received by our community through the Rite of Welcoming, which is also promulgated in the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults. It might be too late to coincide the two rites on December 1st, but hopefully, the Rite of Welcoming will be celebrated promptly.
