Youth Minister
I have grown up here at Mission San Luis Rey Parish since I was seven years old. My relationship with my faith began when a priest from the Parish showed me how to play a few chords on the guitar to a song called Alabaré. I fell in love with the guitar as well as worshiping God through music. From there, I became more involved in the church through the music ministry which led to further service including Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, Social Outreach, Youth Ministry, and eventually as a Catechist for the Confirmation program. I have always felt the calling to serve God and my community. My lovely parents, three sisters and I are all active parishioners here at the Mission. I love collecting crosses to hang up on my cross wall! One of my favorite saints is St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, playing guitar, and spending time with my family and friends. Please keep me and our ministry in your prayers.”

The Youth/Young Adult Mission Statement

The goal of our ministry is to build a greater sense of community between the youth of our parish as well as empower them to be active in their faith and in the faith life of this community. Our desire is that the young people of this church would be confident in their relationship with Jesus, so much so that they would be willing to live their faith beyond the walls of this parish…becoming true disciples.

“Dear young people do not bury your talents, the gifts that God has given you! Do not be afraid to dream of great things!” –Pope Francis

High School Confirmation

Confirmation is the final stage of initiation into the Church. With the Sacrament comes the grace from God to embrace the faith more fully to be a witness for Christ in the world.    Confirmation is a two year High School program. Preparation may begin in the 9th grade. Students must be at least 15 years old to receive Confirmation. (Note: this group is currently on hiatus for Summer)

Young Adults

Our group of Young Adults consists of ages 18-30, our meetings are held every Thursday from 8:00-9:00 pm. We strive on creating fellowship and helping one another grow as young adults in our faith through social, spiritual, educational, and service activities.
