Long ago, Christians wanted to follow in Jesus’s footsteps—from the Praetorium, where he was judged by Pilate and unjustly condemned by the angry crowd, to Calvary, where he was crucified. Hace mucho tiempo, los cristianos quisieron seguir los pasos de Jesús: desde el Pretorio, donde fue juzgado por Pilato y condenado injustamente por la multitud enfurecida, hasta el Calvario, donde fue crucificado.

Praying the ‘Stations of the Cross’ has been a highly encouraged practice by Franciscans for centuries. Prayerfully walking the Way of the Cross and contemplating Christ’s passion, especially as a community, opens our hearts to be transformed by the experience. Rezar el Vía Crucis ha sido una práctica muy fomentada por los franciscanos durante siglos. Recorrer el Vía Crucis con oración y contemplar la pasión de Cristo, especialmente en comunidad, es abrir nuestros corazones a la transformación de la experiencia.
Join us Friday, April 11th at 6:00 p.m. in front of the Mission Church as our parish’s various and diverse ministries present these Intercultural outdoor stations.
